We seek a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team and play a crucial role in our mission by designing and implementing effective treatment and support plans for individuals battling substance dependency. This role requires empathy, clinical knowledge, and a commitment to recovery-centric practices, all aimed at fostering a supportive environment for healing. Assess client's mental and physical state to determine treatment requirements. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized recovery plans. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to provide support and guidance. Educate clients and their families about addiction issues and healthy coping mechanisms. Keep accurate and confidential client records. Advocate for clients' needs and coordinate with other social services to provide holistic care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills In-depth knowledge of addiction psychology and treatment practices Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Capability to work independently and as part of a team Crisis intervention skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent certification Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
