Job Summary
Bethel University's Department of Speech-Language Pathology is on
the verge of launching an exciting new chapter with the
introduction of undergraduate and graduate programs in
speech-language pathology (pending approval by the Council of
Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology). This
presents a unique opportunity for adjunct instructors or course
developers to be part of the program's inception. The roles include
developing/teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and
supervising students enrolled in clinical practicum. Instructors
must adhere to the principles of evidence-based practice,
community-based learning, interprofessional education/practice, and
integration of faith in teaching and clinical practice.
Responsibilities
Develop undergraduate or graduate courses based on
experience/expertiseTeach students in face-to-face or online
classesAdvise students concerning the curriculum or courses Provide
clinical supervisionParticipate in interprofessional
education/practice Use a Learning Management System (Moodle) for
teaching classesMaintain availability to meet with students (as
needed)Ability to integrate faith in teaching/learning

Education
Earned Master's degree in speech-language pathology or a
research/clinical doctoral degreeMust have CCC-SLP (Certificate of
Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) granted by the
American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)Must hold MN
licensure as a speech-language pathologist Must have completed a
minimum of two years of clinical practice experience
post-certification (CCC-SLP)Past teaching or clinical supervision
experience preferredMust have earned professional development or
continuing education hours post-certification in speech-language
pathology content areas and supervision/clinical
instructionKnowledge of and commitment to the mission of Bethel
University
