membersResponsibilities:Great work you'll do here:The Hospice
Administrator will plan, coordinate and direct the delivery of
hospice services. The Administrator will provide leadership to the
organization by directing the daily patient care and business
operations. They will also be responsible for the provision of
appropriate and adequate care to clients in accordance with program
requirements, quality standards and company policies and
procedures. This role will provide supervision and training to
caregiver staff and assures compliance with documentation and
physician order requirements.Provides leadership to the
organization by directing the daily patient care and business
operationsEnsures that quality care that meets client specific
needs and in compliance with program/payer rules and physician
ordersPlans for the overall development, administration and
evaluation of the organization under the direction of Senior
Management and in consultation with the Medical DirectorProvides
organization leadership by promoting and maintaining high standard
to ensure the organization provides quality care and maintains a
sound operationDevelops organization lines of authority and
establishes area of responsibilityCoordinates and integrates
day-to-day organizational activities through regular communication
with organizational leadership, department director/manager and
other staff membersEstablishes and promotes a rapport in and among
department to promote interdisciplinary decision making in
organizational operationsMaintains ongoing liaison with the
governing body, the professional personnel and staffPerforms
clinical functions as licensure allows to ensure excellent care of
patientsComplies with Intrepid's Quality Assurance and Performance
Improvement (QAPI) PlanServes as the designee responsible for the
coordination of QAPI activitiesResponsible for assisting with the
overall development and implementation of the QAPI
programCoordinates reporting of QAPI reporting activities and
outcomes to the Hospice Corporate Team on a quarterly basisDirects
and supervises clinical team to review documentation for necessity
of services, quality care, and compliance with physician orders and
the plan of care to ensure quality care and
reimbursementCoordinates internal compliance review and monitoring
activities, including monthly, quarterly and annual audits as
requiredCorrects identified deficiencies and establishes processes
to prevent future deficienciesActs as the emergency coordinator
during an emergency and ensures the appropriate plan
executionServes as the local privacy officer of the Home Hospice
Care Center(s)Informs the corporate privacy officer of violations
through the reportable event process within 48 hours of the
violationAssures appropriate documentation of patient requests for
restrictions, access, amendments or accounting for disclosure as
required by the privacy ruleAssures all staff receives appropriate
training and follow the policies for protected health
informationAudit and monitor compliance with the privacy rule and
with the Home Hospice Care Center(s), privacy policies and
procedures by all staff and business associatesManages costs to
meet annual operating budgetFacilitates the audit process for
clinical and billing purposes to improve the efficient delivery of
client care and to assure appropriate reimbursement for services
renderedResponsible for the correction of problems leading to
denials for coverage or qualifying criteriaAssures accuracy of
claims by providing necessary services, with appropriate physician
orders that substantiate a reasonable and necessary service
needResponsible to follow billing audit processes to assure
accurate billing of claimsParticipates in the development of and
implementation of an effective budgeting and accounting
systemArranges and manages hospice services provided through
contractual agreementsGuides development and implementation of new
programs to enhance competitive strength and increase market
shareIdentifies and develops ongoing relationships with referrals
sources and external customers for the promotion of public
awareness and understanding of Intrepid servicesMay oversee Patient
Advocate functions including performance reviews and development
plansOversees the scheduling and competency of staff to assure
safe, quality care and serviceSets clear and appropriate
expectations and gives feedback to meet those expectationsOversees
personnel management functions including staffing, performance
reviews and disciplinary actionsProvides a plan for staff
retention, education and developmentCompletes other assignments and
duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and

willing to take responsibility for them.A bachelor's degree and
advanced degrees in healthcare or business, preferredTwo (3) years,
within the past five (5) years, of supervisory or administrative
experience in hospice or a related health program. One (1) year
experience as an nurse in any acute or post-acute settingValid
driver's license and automobile insurance
