of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies.The Medical Communications
Manager will be responsible for the development, creation,
maintenance and operational support of MSL and Medical Affairs
resources including slides, FAQ documents, and overall field
medical affairs training resources.The Medical Communications
Manager will analyze and interpret scientific and clinical
information in support of the MSL team in conjunction with the
Associate Director Medical Alignment (ADMA).Responsibilities:
- MSL Resource Development responsible for creation of resources
for CVM MSL team, including slide decks, FAQs, training resources,
etc. in collaboration with Associate Director Medical Alignment.
Supervise the dissemination of pertinent data as needed to the MSL
team.
- Independently collect and critically analyze pertinent internal
and external documents and studies that provide scientific or
economic rationale for the use of Janssen marketed cardiovascular
products.
- Supervise the preparation and dissemination of pertinent data
as needed for field cardiovascular medical affairs operations.
Supervision can include that of vendors preparing scientific
presentations. Pertinent data can include Janssen product and
Janssen product competitive literature, and Janssen product
scientific, educational and review materials.
- Manage assigned medical communications projects and other
related work to facilitate the achievement of both short and long
term objectives for Janssen field cardiovascular medical affairs
for which one has assigned accountability. Strategically partner
with brand teams to manage and understand scientific support needs
in conjunction with ADMA.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with
internal stakeholders (i.e., ADMA, Medical Directors, Therapeutic
Area Leads, R&D, training, cardiovascular brand teams) and
external stakeholders (i.e., investigators, authors) to fully
understand in conjunction with ADMA, the scientific business needs
and identify how Medical Communications manager can meet such needs
through development of specific field medical affairs tools and
resources.
- Provide scientific content development and strategy support to
Associate Director Medical Affairs Alignment and field Medical
Affairs team through participation in Scientific Dissemination
Committees (SDC) and Franchise Integration Team (FIT) as
needed.
- MSL Operational Support Responsible for routing resources
through appropriate systems and processes for approval. Support the
CVM MSL Strategy and Operations Director on initiatives to optimize
processes for the CVM MSL Team.
- MSL Training Support manage training resources and plan for MSL
team in collaboration with Associate Director Medical
Alignment
- Medical Affairs Support participate and support additional
needs of the broader Medical Affairs department based on business

$111,000 to $167,000. The Company maintains highly competitive,
performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines,
this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The
annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an
incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for
individual and the corporations performance over a
calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys
discretion on an individual basis. Employees may be eligible to

- A minimum of a BA or BSc degree in Life Sciences, Nursing or
related scientific field (or equivalent experience) is
required.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience within a Medical
Information or Scientific Affairs function is preferred.
- Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal
skills.
- Strong interdependent partnering skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work/lead in cross-functional
environments.
- Vendor relationship management experience and creativity /
problem-solving compliantly is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability of partnering with scientists,
academicians, and clinicians is preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.Primary
