and WI - and growing!The Dental Hygienist is a critical part of the
Doctor-directed oral hygiene team. This role is responsible for
patient education, the delivery of preventative and periodontal
dental treatment, and patient database collection and
documentation.Responsibilities:Essential job duties Include:Provide
quality patient service by delivering thorough patient care,
effective communication, and personal attention in a gentle and
caring mannerAssess and plan appropriate dental hygiene care
including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, and
periodontal maintenanceComplete dental hygiene procedures utilizing
hand and mechanical scalers with a high degree of technical
skillConduct a general oral health screening for each patient and
communicate findings to the DoctorProvide local anesthetic and
nitrous oxide to patients under general supervision by the
DoctorExpose appropriate quality radiographs and develop, mount,
and label properlyProvide accurate and concise patient record
charting and complete database information to allow the Doctor to
determine the appropriate treatment plan for the patientMaintain a
clean work environment and dental equipment to meet OSHA and Center
for Disease Control sterilization and infection control regulatory
standardsThe qualifications we are looking for in a Dental
Hygienist include:A current Minnesota Dental Hygienist
LicenseBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and
work experience preferredHigh School diploma requiredCertified to
administer local anesthesia in Minnesota and nitrous oxide
analgesiaAn up-to-date and organized Professional Portfolio
summarizing written documentation of professional development
activitiesCurrent CPR certification obtained through the American
Heart Association health care provider course, the American Red
Cross professional rescuer course, or an equivalent
course.Knowledge of dental information and techniques necessary to
assess oral conditions and treat periodontal disease including
symptoms, treatment alternatives, and preventative
measuresKnowledge of the principles and processes for providing
dental and patient services including patient needs assessment,
meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient
satisfactionPossess strong interpersonal skills, developing
constructive and cooperative working relationships with others,
striving for collaboration, and demonstrating
professionalismPossess effective written and oral communication
skillsPossess critical thinking, logic, and reasoning skills to
identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions,
