Below are just a few perks of working at Park Dental as a Dental Assistant:Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit packageMedical, Vision, Dental and OrthodontiaPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysRoth and 401(k) programs with company matchLife insuranceShort and Long-Term DisabilityHealth Saving PlanFlexible Spending PlanCompany-sponsored professional developmentClinical excellence and quality assurance standardsProfessional Development and Career Advancement opportunitiesAs a Dental Assistant, you will assist the Doctor in providing quality dental treatment and education to patients.Responsibilities:Essential job duties Include:Provide quality patient service by delivering thorough patient care, effective communication, and personal attention in a gentle and caring manner and plan appropriate dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, and periodontal maintenanceComplete dental hygiene procedures utilizing hand and mechanical scalers with a high degree of technical skillConduct a general oral health screening for each patient and communicate findings to the DoctorProvide local anesthetic and nitrous oxide to patients under general supervision by the DoctorExpose appropriate quality radiographs and develop, mount, and label properlyProvide accurate and concise patient record charting and complete database information to allow the Doctor to determine the appropriate treatment plan for the patientMaintain a clean work environment and dental equipment to meet OSHA and Center for Disease Control sterilization and infection control regulatory standardsThe qualifications we are looking for in a Dental Assistant include:High School diploma requiredBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferredA current Minnesota Dental Assistant LicenseSedation certified preferredCertified to administer local anesthesia in Minnesota and nitrous oxide analgesiaAn up-to-date and organized Professional Portfolio summarizing written documentation of professional development activitiesCurrent CPR certification obtained through the American Heart Association health care provider course, the American Red Cross professional rescuer course, or an equivalent course.Knowledge of dental information and techniques necessary to assess oral conditions and treat periodontal disease including symptoms, treatment alternatives, and preventative measuresKnowledge of the principles and processes for providing dental and patient services including patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfactionPossess strong interpersonal skills, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, striving for collaboration, and demonstrating professionalismPossess effective written and oral communication skillsPossess critical thinking, logic, and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemWork Schedule:Mondays 6:30am 2:15pmTuesdays 6:30am 2:15pmWednesdays 1:30pm 8:15pmThursdays 1:30pm 8:15pmFridays optionalSaturdays 7:00am 2:45pm (10/yr)Company Information:We love our communities!Park Dental values being involved in the communities they serve through.
