Shift: Bridges MN has multiple shift options available to tailor to your preferences. Full-time or part-time opportunities on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Monday-Friday, Weekends, and/or 7 on/7 off schedules

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Certified Nursing Assistant Position Description:

The role of the Certified Nursing Assistant is to help individuals live in their own homes, identify and achieve personal goals, and improve their quality of life. Your role includes providing direct client care involving HIGH MEDICAL NEEDS and Medical Devices.

We are seeking someone with experience with HIGH MEDICAL NEEDS such as:

* Medical equipment, G/J Tubes

* Medical vest

* Feeding pumps

* Kangaroo pump

* Oxygen/ Nebulizer

* Hoyer

* Hospital beds/ Repositioning

* Adapting activities to each individual in a group who all have different disabilities to foster an engaging environment

We are seeking someone who has previous experience working as a

* CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant

* LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse

* PCA: Personal Care Assistant
* For a minimum of 2 years

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities:

* Providing personal care including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, repositioning, taking and recording vital signs, medication passing, documentation and shift notes

* Providing care according to the patient's plan of care, assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping

* Follow the behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the individuals personalized treatment plan

* Collect, record and summarize data on observable client behavior

* Provide positive based input, suggestions, and feedback to Company team members regarding the individuals served and their written programs/protocols

* Advocate for each individual served in all areas of their lives. To include: medical professionals, intercompany teams, therapists, community members etc

* To utilize safe and appropriate procedures to ensure the safety of the individuals we serve.

* To work well within a highly collaborative team. This includes a high level of communication, adaptability, and creativity

* To have full knowledge of Permitted, Restricted, and Prohibited procedures (EUMR)

* Focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing interfering behaviors

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of experience that includes working with residents with high behaviors, working in a hospital, or psychiatric setting

* Experience de-escalating intense situations and ability to describe different methods of de-escalation

* Ability to perform physical interventions to ensure the safety of the individuals served

* Strong verbal communication and documentation skills

* Ability to pass a background check with the Department of Health and Human Services.

* A valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations.

* 1 of the 3 items listed below: (additional trainings, certifications, and leadership experience considered)
* 4 year degree in a related field

* 2 year degree in a related field/2 years of experience including working with residents with high behaviors, behavioral health or psychiatric setting

* 4 years of experience including working with residents with high behaviors, behavioral health or psychiatric setting
