This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders. This job position will oversee a team of logistics account managers and individual contributors, conduct pricing inquiries, analyze the P&L, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values.Essential FunctionsDUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-- Manages and provides leadership to a team of logistics account managers to ensure operations are running efficiently.-- Conducts and leads various internal meetings, including operational meetings, customer-facing meetings, strategic planning sessions, and meetings with managers and leadership teams.-- Represents the company in external meetings with carriers, warehouse suppliers, and customers, both in-office and off-site.-- Works cross functionally with internal teams on providing rules and provisions for pricing inquiries, requests, pricing structures, and programs.-- Responsible for cost control and delivery of customer experience/requirements (service provision).-- Provides direction to logistics managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer satisfaction goals.-- Monitors expenses against budget and analyzes profit and loss statement and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.-- Participates in leadership quarterly and annual meetings to discuss strategic initiatives, goals, and performance metrics.-- Identifies key issues impacting operational efficiency and develops solutions to address them effectively.-- Provides approval-level input concerning personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, discipline, performance evaluations, and pay changes.-- Works cross-functionally with internal teams to meet the company's vision and goals.-- Other duties and projects as assigned.Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, AptitudeSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:-- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to influence others and communicate to all levels of management.-- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer focused skills.-- Demonstrates leadership skills in order to provide guidance to a team.-- Ability to interpret data into meaningful solutions.-- Demonstrates a keen attention to detail.-- Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.-- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and TMS system.-- Ability to be results-oriented, self-directed and solve problems in a professional manner.-- Excellent time management skills.-- Possess strong analytical and project management skills.-- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.-- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and P&L statements.-- Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations is a plus.-- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.-- Ability to travel by car, train, or airplane periodically as required by the company.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:-- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.-- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in logistics operations, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning.-- Minimum 4+ years of management experience is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the jobRequisition ID2024-23506Equal Employer Opportunity StatementKeHE Distributors provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits all forms of discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, religion or faith, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
