*Job Responsibilities:*The Client is looking for a dynamic driving force to propell our production team over the top. We are looking for a leader to guide, inspire, motivate and set the standard for a production crew of around 60.The Production Manager is responsible for managing all production personnel and processes to maximize efficiencies while ensuring a quality product. They are responsible for workforce planning and coordinating resources to meet production schedules and customer requirements.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**Leadership** Recognize the contributions of every team member and encourage them to work together, sharing ideas and maintaining good relationships in the execution of job tasks* Bring others along in decision-making and include other areas when decisions impact them* Provide regular performance feedback and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement and growth* Analyze metrics that measure the teams performance and identify opportunities from this analysis* Studies production schedules and adjusts work assignments accordingly* Maintain confidentiality of information learned/shared by individuals and the company* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.* Cooperates with other departments to create and foster a team environment* Maintains employee time, approve time off requests and changes to the shift schedules* Report to work on time, alert and ready to be productive at designated start time*Quality** Ensure quality standards are documented and being met for products entering and leaving the building* Ensure documented processes are being followed and accountability is being monitored.* Ensures sustainment of Continuous Improvement activities* Ensures assigned Strategic rocks (action plans) are completed and on time* Leads in resolving quality issues on the floor which may include product inspection and/or process modification* Maintain training documents and records* Promote and maintain clean and safe work environments*Continuous Improvement** Commitment to AFI/MOIs vision of continuous improvement practices* Analyze data to determine areas to focus on that lead to improvement in overall KPIs (First Pass Yield, On Time Shipping, Gross Margin and Revenue)* Lead efforts to identify and implement CI projects (cost reductions, process improvements, standard work)* Determine and support cross-training efforts based on meeting customer requirements* Identify the teams strengths and weaknesses and motivate employees toward improvement* Follow and recommend improvements to existing safety policies and procedures* Recommends equipment needs, with a forward-thinking vision of new technology*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES* Members of the Production area including supervisors, leads, direct and indirect*QUALIFICATIONS** Supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate and resolve employee issues* Lean manufacturing training and experience* Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work with all personalities* Well organized with an attention to detail* Ability to analyze data, determine a go-forward plan and implement solutions* Ability to identify and resolve problems or seek assistance in a timely manner and take direction* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written* Respond promptly to internal and external customer needs and resolve all issues satisfactorily* Prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently* Ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines* Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE** An AA degree from a two-year college or technical school, Bachelors degree a plus.* Five years previous supervisory experience* Color application in wood finishing or print manufacturing preferred* Previous manufacturing experience preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftSupplemental pay types:* Overtime payAbility to Commute:* Saint Paul, MN (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Saint Paul, MN: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
