Job Summary
Metro State University, Minnesota's public, urban university , and
four-time recipient of the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education
Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire a Academic
Program Coordinator. This is a full-time, one-year temp position
within the College of Community Studies and Public Affairs.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and
manage the process of development and creation of the College of
Community Studies and Public Affairs (CCSPA) academic programs,
course programming, each semester's schedule of classes, assignment
of academic classrooms, and coordination of academic college
supported special events. The position will be responsible for
planning, coordinating, creating, and managing the academic class
schedule and catalog based on budget, resources, program, and
student needs, updating and adding programs to Program Navigator,
and the web content management for the college. Responsibilities
include analyzing, planning, and reporting academic program needs
and coordinating with internal and external university units (e.g.
Registrar's Office, IT Services, Marketing, Institutional
Effectiveness and Research, Campus Operations, Financial
Management, MinnState System Office), as required, to support CCSPA
programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires occasionally transporting such articles as file boxes and
heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others and/or
transporting light objects frequently. The position may require
movement throughout building(s) to a significant degree.
Additional Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety
Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a
rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota
State'svehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records
check.

and Public Affairs comprises of Human Services, Psychology, Public
and Nonprofit Leadership, School of Criminology and Criminal
Justice, and Social Work departments. The college prepares students
