Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Manager to
join our team! Open to location in the Twin Cities, MN area, this
position will lead and support diverse public and private sector
projects throughout Minnesota and across the country.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include :
Lead complex design of electrical systems for sites/facilities as
well as transportation, aviation, and energy (solar and EV
Infrastructure) projects
Preparation of project specifications, electrical construction cost
estimates, and marketing proposals
Lead a team of qualified staff while mentoring, training, and
growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practice
Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams
Responsible for the development of reports and design documents,
including electrical floor plans, equipment schematicand
blockdiagrams, load calculations, andone-linediagrams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 8 years of relatable experience in an Electrical
Engineering role
Licensed EE in the state of MN (or ability to obtain within a year
of employment)
Experience managing and mentoring younger staff
Interest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a
growth mindset to build business
Experience with marketing and business development activities
Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA
codes/standards, and energy codes
Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
Building Information Modeling (BIM - Autodesk Revit)
Security and communication design experiencedesired
Experience in Power Studies, such as Short Circuit Study,
Coordination Study, and Arc Flash Analysis.AGI32 is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
