Job Description:

Our client, the Minnesota Employment and Economic Development Department (DEED) is seeking a temporary A/R and Loan Management Officer to assist with the administration of the Loan Accounts. This position is anticipated to last 1 year. This position can be onsite, hybrid, or fully remote. Only Minnesota residents will be considered.
Responsibilities: - This position works closely with the Receipt Depositing staff by assisting with ensuring that Federal, State, and other funds used for invoices and payments are accurate, transactions processed are effectively and timely reconciled through the statewide accounting system (SWIFT) and problems with any accounts are resolved. - This incumbent must have been exposed to accounting and technical system knowledge of complex systems. Experience with the Minnesota statewide accounting system (SWIFT), State Employee Management (SEMA4), the fiscal Income Agreements (IA), and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) warehouses is preferred, but training will be offered.
Minimum Qualifications - 2+ years of professional experience in accounting, financial management, or grants management - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar degree - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases to prepare and present complex financial records and reports - Experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - Experience in working closely with internal and external auditors - Ability to analyze and interpret complex fiscal reports and records for adherence and conformance to federal laws, state statutes, and department policies - Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, including use of pivot tables and advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP or similar functions - Experience with the statewide accounting systems (SWIFT) or similar software is preferred
