*At Securian Financial the internal position title is Project/Program Management Senior Consultant* -Program Manager - Office of the CTOPosition Overview: - -The Program Manager - Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Office of the CTO, supporting Enterprise Technology (ET).What you would do in this job: - - -Lead the Office of the CTO:

  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the ET and Enterprise Data & Analytics leadership team to facilitate efficient decision-making -
  • Advise and guide ET and Enterprise Data & Analytics leadership on opportunities and priorities based on enterprise strategic goals leveragingindustry best practices, competitive landscape, emerging trends and interdependencies across business efforts -
  • With CTO, lead alignment on divisional key performance indicators and ensure accountability and delivery of results
  • Define associate engagement and communication strategy and execute in partnership with enterprise and business to ensure alignment of messaging
    • Coordinate execution of technology strategy in alignment with Enterprise strategy through leading, guiding, and facilitatingstrategy and planning-related meetings and driving related action plans.
    • Act as a liaison related to core enterprise strategy and planning activities (e.g., goal setting, divisional planning)to other shared services (HR, Enterprise Portfolio Management, Finance, etc.)
    • Partner with CTO on key divisionaland enterprise initiatives, such as organizational alignment and process changes/improvements, to ensure alignment with vision and strategy
    • Advise on confidential matters as requested and maintain a high level of discretionWhat we would expect from you: - - -
      • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in applicable field
      • 7-10 years relevant experience, with increasing levels of responsibility executing technology strategy and leading strategic projects with demonstrated delivery of outcomes aligned to company objectives; knowledge and experience in financial services preferred
      • Strong strategic mindset and conceptual thinking skills, complemented by strong business acumen with the ability to see the big picture and outline key outcomes
      • Ability to articulate how technical capabilities support and enhance business value
        • Problem-solving skills necessary to translate strategy into execution
        • Experience implementing recommendations and actively driving change in large organizations
        • Proven leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business and technical colleagues at all levels
        • Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presence. Able to effectively deliver messages, consult with and influence leaders and colleagues across the organization
        • Project management experience; organized and detail-oriented; a passion for creating order out of chaos
          • Able to thrive in demanding and sometimes ambiguous environment and adapt to shifting priorities -
          • The ability to influence without authority, with a reputation for getting things done effectively
          • Superb people and management skills and ability to interact with peers, senior executives, and other cross-functional stakeholders
          • Highly self-motivated, with keen sense of ownership and passion to deliver results -#LI-hybrid **This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement**Physical job requirements:
            • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
            • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
            • Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day.
