Job Description:

The Human Resources Operations Manager will balance delivering on both strategic and tactical initiatives to build foundational people practices and scale them as our teams grow and evolve. To be successful in this role, you are both analytical with a business-lens but can also demonstrate support for sensitive employee issues, detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize to drive meaningful impact, and be able to build trusting relationships within the organization.Responsibilities:

  • Support the efficient use of HR technology in HRIS (payroll, benefits, and Performance Management software) and lead implementation and maintenance of internal systems that enable the HR Operations function to identify changing trends in HRIS software
  • Manage benefits administration for all benefits offerings, open enrollment, and life events
  • Build and maintain a dashboard of top HR metrics (including but not limited to retention, diversity, internal mobility, employee engagement, performance metrics) to identify opportunities to increase retention, reduce turnover, and drive employee engagement.
  • Lead the review, implementation and evolution of HR practices and annual reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Work with third party vendors as appropriate to ensure administration and customer service in contractual standards are met.
  • Support the employee lifecycle by implementation of operational onboarding practices, internal mobility, and offboarding that impact the employee experience; automate and improve workflows between systems and teams.
  • Manage a team including a Sr. Payroll administrator and Payroll administrator with dotted line responsibility for the relevant duties of the HR Generalist.
  • Keep abreast of federal and local laws and best practices in the industry and apply them appropriately to your day-to-day work.
  • Be knowledgeable regarding the Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure benefits and pay rates are accurate.
  • Create spreadsheets and processes to effectively manage various pay structures, benefits eligibility dates, and paid time off for all employees.
  • Collaborate with other team members across departments and the broader management team to gather feedback and incorporate such feedback across our programs to ensure solutions will meet people and business needs.
  • Consult internally to align on programs across TA, HR, and HR Operations to ensure consistent employee experiences.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
    Job requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience working in Payroll. Human Resources generalist experience preferred
    • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or Human Resources preferred.
    • Previous experience working on a team with direct HRIS and benefits administration
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility while implementing programs and practices to serve diverse teams and needs; change agent
    • Problem solving and growth mindset with a focus on progress, not perfection
    • Experience working in both union and non-union environments preferred
    • Self -starter; able to identify challenges, present and implement creative solutions
    • Trustworthy with high integrity; able to communicate effectively and build relationships with highly distributed teams
