The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$90,000.00 - $148,500.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Responsible for defining and implementing the strategic vision for the overall learner effectiveness capability. Assesses current processes, recommends improvements and supports the implementation of ideas. Collaborates with business partners, project leads, peers, and leadership to define the tenets of an optimal learning experience, focusing on in-person and digital touchpoints (e.g., new hire training, advanced training, moment-of-need support, post-event coaching, certified learning resources, user-generated resources). Understand the learner experience from the perspective of an individual touch point or event, as well as how to optimize the stakeholder experience, and articulate strategic value before, during, and after a multi-faceted program. May have responsibility for direct supervision of staff and/or managing or assigning work activities. Under General Direction this role establishes the approach for attaining specific goals and objectives of learning effectiveness.What Will You Do?

  • Develop a strategy and promote learner-focused culture; foster a vision of optimal learner effectiveness across the learning team and business partners.
  • Establish a framework to gather regular feedback; convey an understanding of the learning experience from the learner's and stakeholder's perspective and make recommendations on opportunities to streamline and improve learner experience in accordance with business needs.
  • Influence partners to implement identified recommendations to enhance the learner experience.
  • Understand the evolving learning environment and establish, implement, and measure best practices
  • Review the entire life cycle of the learning experience from the first point of contact until the last and identify ways to improve learner effectiveness.
  • Interact with learners and stakeholders to gain input (interviews, surveys, feedback) on the learner experience based on individual touchpoints and events.
  • Identify transition points in the learner experience; make recommendations to support seamless transitions between learning touch points in order to optimize the learner experience.
  • Develop learning experience maps to inform survey design, learning asset decisions, and guide overall learning effectiveness.
  • Understand the evolving learning environment and establish, implement, and measure best practices.
  • Determine appropriate data sources, collect, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data; effectively draw insights into current learning initiatives, and identify opportunities to influence learning design framework and/or business objectives.
  • Communicate key learnings; make cohesive recommendations, share initiatives, successes, and opportunities with leadership, learning team members, and key business partners.
  • Perform facilitator observations; establish best practices and drive consistency in learning delivery through consistent, direct feedback.
  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to gain insight into the learner experience from multiple perspectives.
  • Lead ongoing improvements to the learner experience and where necessary share constructive feedback to enhance the growth of the learning team.
  • Partner and consult across Operations to understand processes, practices, and methodologies that affect the learner experience.
  • Identify and understand resources used by learners; define gaps, articulate frustrations or opportunities, and make recommendations for improvements to stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
    • High School degree or GED 5 years of experience in customer experience design, user experience design, or service design.OR A combined 3 years of experience in customer experience design, user experience design, or service design and 3 years of experience in the learning field.
    • ---Bachelor's degree preferred Experience with design thinking, particularly related to digital channels
    • Experience with feedback methods, surveys, and focus groups
    • Ability to analyze and synthesize data; connect findings to strategic recommendations and report out
    • Excellent PC skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with data analytic tools preferred
    • Ability to influence and build support for ideas
    • Ability to accomplish work in a matrix environment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to share information with team members, business partners, and customers
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with team members, business partners, and customers
    • Demonstrated collaborative approach to solutions involving appropriate stakeholders in the solution; ability to build relationships within and across the organization
    • Courage to explore and secure management buy-in to creative solutions that address needs and problems
    • Demonstrated capabilities in innovative thinking and approaches
    • Effectively utilize operational expertise and process improvement knowledge and capabilities
    • Experience with small and large group presentations with higher levels of management
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory preferred---What is a Must Have?
      • High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of business experience.
      • In order to perform the essential job functions of this job, acquisition and maintenance of
      • Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and Travelers requirements.
