  • Hrs/Pay Period: 80 Email a Friend Apply Now Job Description:Under the direction of the System Director, Nursing Practice and Education, the Manager of Nursing Practice and Research will lead the Clinical Nurse Practice Specialists (CNPS) to be a cohesive group of professionals that contribute to the advancement of nursing practice and research. In partnership with the Manager of Nursing Education and the Manager of Nursing Practice at Methodist Hospital, this role promotes and models practice and education partnership. This role is based at Regions but leads a cross-organizational team in establishing and implementing evidenced based practice and research into bedside nursing practice. The Manager will also demonstrate, measure and report outcomes achieved by advancing professional nursing practice.The Manager of Nursing Practice and Research is responsible to ensure quality patient care while improving patient safety and error reduction. This position leads and develops a culture of continual improvement in quality and patient safety, seeking excellence in patient outcomes and minimizing risks and harm that may result from the processes of care. The selected candidate integrates practice and informatic experts at the bedside to ensure easy access for nursing staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary care team members. This position also leads and is involved in other projects and work that supports our goals of providing safe, equitable, excellent care and experience to our patients.The Manager of Nursing Practice and Research also leads and participates in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure the implementation and maintenance of best practice and evidence-based guidelines for provision of patient care as well as to assess, develop, implement, facilitate, and evaluate necessary staff education required to achieve clinical outcomes. Minimum Qualifications Education: Nursing degree required. A Doctorate in Nursing Practice is required. Experience: 5 years (10,400 hrs) clinical staff nurse role and/or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS 2 year [4,160 hr] minimum). Licensure/Registration/Certification: Licensed RN in the State of Minnesota. Preferred Qualifications Licensure/Registration/Certification: Licensed by Minnesota Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CNPS). Licensure/Registration/Certification: Licensed RN in the State of Minnesota. Licensed by Minnesota Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CNPS).
