Position Summary:
The Quality Systems Manager will support our Minnesota, South
Dakota, & South Carolina locations and will lead the global Quality
Systems for Horton. This person will serve as the leader and owner
for VDA/AIAG DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, Process
audits and supporting documentation to remain compliant. This
person will also align the customer specific requirements with IATF
16949 requirements for products manufactured at our global
locations. Much of the time will be spent working and leading cross
functional groups through FMEA's, control plans, as well as,
performing VDA process audits at manufacturing sites while closing
gaps with formal corrective actions.
Responsibilities
Quality Systems Manager Responsibilities:
Quality Systems Manager for Horton. Responsible for managing
VDA/AIAG FMEA's, Control Plans, Process Flows and customer specific
requirements.
1.1 Manages and completes FMEA's, Control Plans and Process
Flow's
1.2 Responsible for using and leading with FMEA software for the
organization.
1.3 Supports the product realization process and responsible for
meeting customer specific requirements
1.4 Completes VDA process audits at Horton locations
1.5 Completes CQI audits within Horton and suppliers.
1.6 Keeps Director of Quality & Warranty and Quality Manager site
leaders informed on the documentation and process gaps. Owns the
problem and completes formal corrective action.
1.7 Provides core tool training to cross functional team.
1.8 Manages specific projects and tasks for continuous
improvement.
Actively participates in new product releases.
2.1 Supports Product Realization Process for new releases with
VDA/AIAG FMEA's and supporting documentation.
2.2 Participates in regular meetings with project managers and
cross functional team to help complete APQP documentation and
customer specific requirements.
Ensures VDA/AIAG compliance within organization. Subject expert
using effective quality SPC, APQP, PPAP, MSA and FMEA core
tools.
3.1 Fully knowledgeable about quality system requirements and
champions corrective actions related to process findings.
3.2 Hands on working manager for quality system implementation
projects or system modifications.
3.3 Champions quality system continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
Quality Systems Manager Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelors Degree in engineering, business, or similar
discipline
4 or more years of related Quality Assurance or manufacturing
experience.
Knowledge of quality system standards (ISO 9001:2015, VDA, CQI and
IATF 16949.)
National VDA certification with card required.
Manufacturing operations is preferred.
Travel up to 30% is required.
Work Environment:
The worker is exposed to a typical office environment. There will
also be exposure to a temperature and air quality controlled
manufacturing environment. Employee is required to travel to Horton
manufacturing locations. Level of exertion: Work usually light,
with occasional exertion of up to 40 pounds of force to move
printed materials, parts, or packages.
Must be able to show legal authorization to work in the United
States. No Visa sponsorship provided. Relocation allowance may be
provided if the individual has all of the necessary
qualifications.
