Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in the Information Technology (IT)
department. We are looking for a Manager, IT Asset Management .
This leadership position plays a key role in the evolution of IT
Asset Management program and practice within CHS. This role will
create an IT Asset Management program including building a team,
creating and implementing processes, and providing direction for an
asset management capability within the IT landscape. This role will
be accountable for developing and maintaining sources of truth of
IT assets within the CHS organization and supporting software
audits. This role entails developing and maintaining processes,
policies, standards, systems, and measurements that help CHS
effectively manage the IT asset portfolio (software and
technology-related hardware) with regards to cost, control, risk,
and compliance.
Responsibilities
Asset Management Process and Continuous Improvement
Lead the CHS IT Asset Management program, team, and processes.
Create and drive the strategy for CHS IT Asset Management.
Create partnerships with IT Platform Owners, CHS Sourcing, ITSM
Delivery Team and process owners, Enterprise Architecture, among
other IT areas.
Ensure quality control through the lifecycle of IT assets by
developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and
manage the IT Assets. Safeguard a detailed inventory of hardware
and software assets and apply the information gathered to enable
immediate corrective action on vulnerabilities, strengthen
policy/governance, support audits, understand the software spend
and manage end of life/end of services risk avoidance.
Maintain the IT asset capability to empower the organization to
better manage the lifecycle of hardware and software across
CHS.
Support audit activities that may arise.
Technology Acumen
Drive features and functionality on the IT Asset Management
capability (ServiceNow) to enable the IT Asset Management Processes
and show the value to continue to scale and mature the
services.
Create and maintain governance and support the interdependencies
between ITAM (IT Asset Management), APM (Application Portfolio
Management) and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) across the
CHS ServiceNow platform.
Reporting, Dashboard and Audits
Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance
reports on current assets.
Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing and
services.
Talent Management
Grow people in an environment of empowerment by attracting,
retaining, and developing talent.
Continuously improve the knowledge and skill of employees through
training, education, and mentoring.
Demonstrate visible leadership and exhibit CHS leadership
expectations.
Build Strong relationship across IT and our business units.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer
Science/Engineering, or Project Management (or equivalent years of
training, work experience and education)
7+ years management experience to include: Implementing new
processes and functions within an IT organization
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
skills
Proven ability to effectively drive change
4+ -years IT Asset Management (hardware and software)
experience
Additional Qualifications
Strong business acumen and ability to understand the larger company
strategy
Demonstrated ability to understand complex ideas and
interdependencies
Managing complex projects and technical teams
Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical
and non-technical audiences
Track record of using quantitative and qualitative data to
prioritize decision-making
Strong technical and ITIL service management background
Lean practitioner certifications or training, as well as applicable
experience in Continuous Improvement
ITIL practitioner
Agile practitioner
Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow technology and ITAM module
Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Office 365 Technologies
