      The Director of Governance and Project Delivery leads the development of organizational governance and project delivery. This role creates and implements governance models that support our overall governance structure and strategy. This role also provides strategic leadership and is accountable for the success of our project deliveries and the management of the overall portfolio. Duties include organizing, managing and leading the delivery of the District's largest and most complex information systems projects utilizing Agile, iterative and waterfall delivery frameworks. The role ensures the project delivery teams are properly structured and skilled to deliver the stated benefits as articulated in the business case on behalf of the project sponsor(s), SunStream and Customers. Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
      • 12+ years of related experience
      • 5 years leadership and strategic planning
      • Project Management Professional Certification preferred
      • Corporate Governance Certification preferred
      • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Required Knowledge and Skills
        • Expertise in management and demonstrated program and project management experience in a variety of settings and organizational types
        • Expertise in change management disciplines
        • Expertise in fostering relationships within the organization and internal and external stakeholders
        • Ability to leverage and manage vendor relationships to maximize execution and efficiencies
        • Ability to apply theory, policies and best practices in a pragmatic way that aligns with the organization and its strategic objectives
        • Ability to effectively plan and coordinate large/complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
        • Negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
        • Ability to identify and facilitate proactive issue and conflict resolution in a manner that allows the organization to move forward
        • Expertise in communicating objectives, delegating responsibility and monitoring performance
        • Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing a team of project managers, business analysts and test analyst
        • Knowledge of system development processes and tools
        • Knowledge of project management tools
        • Skill in organizing material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency
        • Skill at working with external development groups
        • Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
        • Skill in preparing and reviewing complex, detailed project plans and specifications in an accurate and thorough manner
        • Skill in writing concise, logical, and accurate documentation to explain program/system specifications
        • Excellent oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
        • Knowledge of current and new technologies as well as best practices
        • Proficient in multiple project delivery methodologies, such as Iterative, Agile, and DevOps
        • Skill in analyzing problems and recommending appropriate solutions
        • Technical knowledge of platforms, software and programs used
