Job Description:

Position Summary:Under the direction the Senior Director, the Accreditation & Compliance Specialist is responsible forimplementation/coordination of the accreditation process in accordance with established standards,policies, and procedures. The specialist will provide ongoing monitoring of administrative and programsdepartments to ensure operational compliance with accreditation standards and maintain theorganization's required documentation. The specialist will provide technical assistance regardingstandards and processes and will prepare for and complete accreditation surveys through a process ofproject management involving a multidisciplinary team.The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict thetasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this jobat any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Responsibilities:* Serve as content expert for administrative departments and programs regarding interpretation ofstandards, survey and accreditation process* Ensure key stakeholders understand the accreditation process, standards, and expectations.* Provide detailed, consistent, and accurate consultation and technical assistance to administrative andprogram departments regarding survey procedures and processes and standards interpretation* Follow-up with administrative and program departments to promote document retention and timelysubmission of records* Interact with administrative and program departments routinely in a manner that promotes success towardreaching the established goals and objectives of the unit and organization at large; this includes assisting insurvey planning strategies and problem-solving activities as needed* Assist in the development, production, review and finalization of documents and other written materialsneeded or submitted for compliance and survey review* Participate as requested on internal committees or task force groups for business plans or for revision ordevelopment of written policies, procedures, and organizational standards; attend department or staffmeetings as required* Review Quality Improvement Plans as necessary for accuracy and communicate with departments--discrepancies and timely submission; assist departments in planning and maintaining quality betweenaccreditation cycles.* Maintain database and sources of information for quality initiatives, accreditation efforts, and regulatory mandates.* Project manage the survey preparation process and coordinate with accrediting organization for logisticsof site visits* Provide assistance to the accrediting organization's staff and surveyors during the survey process* Develop project management plans and tracking systems to aid in the process of survey preparation* Conduct ongoing meetings with administrative and program departments to ensure current informationregarding the accreditation, standards and expectations are maintainedOther* Support the department as needed with other Quality Assurance and Compliance activities* Assist the organization and administrative departments as requested* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsFormal Education & Training:* Master's degree in related field preferred* Bachelor's degree in related field requiredExperience:* A minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred* Experience with administering accreditation & certification processes preferred* Experience as a lead project manager for a multidisciplinary team of departments* Experience with operational processes within a non-profit or government organization* Experience working within a homeless--We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
