Job Description:

Position: Operations Manager Location: Eagan, MNJob Id: 810 of Openings: 1 Based in Eagan, MN the Operations Manager will manage all operational aspects of the school photo business, JostensPIX.RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and build relationships with school contacts across all AreasWork with schools to capture all details of their school day and post-event processing needs --- site sketches, ID card designs, subject listsEnsure delivery milestones to schools and parents meet documented service levelsIdentify, secure and organize off season venues for all AreasManage new contracts/school relationships, and orchestrate renewalsAct as point of contact for Independent Reps on photo day opportunitiesAct as point of contact for all school, customer care and plant inquiries, and coordinate the resolution of any issuesAnnually project fulfillment supply needs for photo products, ID card print and communication pieces; track and adjust as neededManage equipment, maintain health of existing kits, purchase equipment and supplies and manage inventory.Manage equipment testing and kit setup and distribution to siteArrange for site storage if/as requiredEnsure business processes and workflows are appropriately documentedIdentify and document technical gaps and opportunities for improvementWork with technical development team to enhance existing processes and develop end to end solutionsWork with HR to ensure seasonal hiring coverage across all Areas based on established photographer allocationsEnsuring training personnel are identified for all Areas, and manage the training schedule and logisticsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel.Clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and, where necessary, work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans.Support the development of assigned personnel---s skills and abilities, and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance.Identify and resolve skill gaps and succession issues.Administer Company policies with regard to discipline, absenteeism, etc., in a fair and equitable manner, and fully document all incidents and actions taken.Involve assigned HR Generalist on compliance issues such as pay equity, equal opportunity in hiring and promotions, and proper procedures for hiring, terminations, lay-offs, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS:Four year degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to understand business processes and supporting technologyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal communication skills including tact and diplomacyExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbove average knowledge of planning and communication toolsAble to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisPreferred:Experience supporting school photography operationsWorking knowledge of high volume photography equipmentTraining and experience in business analysis, project management and event planning Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 5-10% (if needed).About Jostens: Celebrating over 120 years of business, Jostens has been a part of local communities, working with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, teams and affiliation groups.
