Volt is immediately hiring a Mechanical Engineer with a well-known industry leader in Maplewood, MN.

This role requires a versatile professional skilled in CAD design, project organization, and hands-on assembly, with a focus on customer service and order fulfillment.

This is a first shift position.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will:
Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software, managing inventory and workflow timelines, and physically constructing products or systems.
The position also involves direct client interaction (internal and external customers) to understand project requirements.
Strong attention to detail is crucial for maintaining quality control across both digital designs and physical builds.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:
1-2 years of experience plus education (prefer a degree in Mechanical Engineering).
CAD Design (eg SolidWorks,, NX)
The ability to update existing drawings and support some modifications to drawings.
Other documentation will involve SKU support, and BOM (bill of materials). Role will be minimal design.
Automotive industry (preferred)

Pay Rate: $32.67 per hour
