Purpose

Manages day-to-day engineering activities. Provide direction to Engineering Group, while coordinating between all disciplines. Monitor progress of BPL, SP, STM, and non-concrete projects. Actively participate in design projects as well as managing

Essential Job Functions

• Utilize project management principles to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Prioritize and organize short term and long-term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives.
• Document standard Engineering procedures and processes to be followed.
• Identify cost/process savings and develop designs/solutions to accomplish tasks.
• Identify resource gaps, recruit team members, assign, direct and evaluate work, oversee career development, and encourage continuous learning.
• Interact with production team to continually drive assembly improvements. Requirements
  
  Physical Demands:
  • Perform stationary work 90% of the time using a computer and applicable office equipment
  • Move about inside the office and production areas of the building 10% of the time to access files, office equipment and communicate with colleagues Education/Skills/Experience:
    • Bachelor degree in Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years of directly related managerial experience in the field of Engineering.
    • Leadership experience in manufacturing environment.
    • Read and interpret Mechanical Drawings, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics.
    • Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, various manufacturing processes, metal properties and construction equipment.
    • Cost Estimating.
    • Champion for challenging existing practices.
    • 3D CAD skills. Solid Edge experience preferred.
    • Good communication skills.
    • ERP system experience. SAP preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient with MS Office tools
