available!POSITION INFORMATIONTitle: Senior Remediation
EngineerReports to: Chief Operating OfficerLocation: Remote or
Saint Paul, MinnesotaBasis of Pay: Salary paid bi-weekly
(exempt)Anticipated scheduled hours per week: 40HOW YOU'D SUPPORT
BAY WESTThe Senior Remediation Engineer will be responsible for
leading Bay West's technical team, developing technical approaches
and cost estimates for proposals; planning and executing
groundwater extraction and treatment system projects (including
CERCLA or RCRA remedial investigations and feasibility studies),
remedial designs and construction, and remedial system operations
and maintenance.?Remedial system process design, permitting,
construction, implementation, and operation supportDeveloping
technical drawings, details, and specifications for mechanical and
civil components of environmental construction projectsProvide
oversight and author reports for environmental field activities or
environmental construction projects. Support business development
efforts, including writing proposals and scoping and developing
cost estimates for competitive procurementStrong communication
skills to interact effectively with clients, regulators, project
team members, and company managementTechnical support and/or
supervision of a variety of in-house projects is required. Tasks
may include calculations, overseeing the development and review of
maps, drawings, and specifications, data collection, data entry and
analysis, oversight of field operations, preparation and review of
technical reports, and cost estimation. Periodic business travel is
required; travel is anticipated to consist of visits to project
sites, client offices, and Bay West headquarters (-5-10% of the
year).REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESBachelor's degree or
higher in an engineering discipline such as Environmental
Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological
Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience working with contaminated
groundwater remedial technologies including in situ treatment via
chemical oxidation, enhanced reductive dichlorination,
bioremediation, and thermal treatment, and ex situ treatment
technologies such as granular activated carbon, air stripping,
UV/oxidation, and bioremediation Working familiarity with
environmental assessment field data collection methods and
procedures Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental
regulations? Must have?ability?to gain?entrance?to Federal
facilities, which may include additional background screening(s),
as outlined by the respective agency Preferred
Skills/Certifications Professional Engineer
certificationKnowledgeable about permitting requirements such as
underground injection control (UIC) and National Pollution
Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Effective and demonstrable
technical writing and data analysis/management skillsActive 40-hour
HAZWOPER certificate, or ability to obtain it Ability to foster
friendly, positive, productive, and team relationshipsOutstanding
customer service and communication skills (both written and
verbal). Ability to be self-directed and work independently, as
well as a team-playerStrong time management skills and the ability
to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced
collaborative environment. Interest in continued professional
growth, including attendance at professional conferences, external
training, and coursework PAY RANGEThe estimated base pay range for
this position is below. Actual pay rate may vary depending on
location, along with a candidate's qualifications and previous
