Job Description:
FlexPak Services is seeking a self-driven and highly motivated
person who possesses excellent listening, communication and
problem-solving skills to fill our Sales Engineer position. The
sales engineer will find, contact, and follow-up with prospective
clients. Once they discover the client's needs, they will discuss
our product's technological capabilities and business value. The
ideal candidate should be able to clearly articulate highly
technical concepts to all prospective clients.Responsibilities
- Researches sources and best strategies for developing
prospective customers
- Develops new customer accounts and ensures customer retention
including daily cold call reports, weekly work plans, lead entering
and conversions and tracking against forecast
- Qualifies new and existing leads, including maintenance of
customer information in Sales Force database
- Coordinates all customer activities while maintaining all the
highest level of customer satisfaction and quality
- Gathers information on customer products and/or current issues
and presents solutions
- Acquires files, specifications, budgets and quantities for
customer proposals
- Clearly articulates technical capabilities and gives technical
demonstrations to new and existing customers
- Follows Sales Metrics policy in submitting monthly activity
reports
- Travels offsite for customer visits and other sales related
activities monthly
- Maintains complete knowledge of sales procedures including:
Quotations, Pricing, Terms, and Credit Requirements
- Assists General Manager in creation of various sales reports
and analytics
- Obtains information regarding competitor's capabilities
including strengths and weaknesses of competitive services
- Attends and participates in exhibitions, seminars, and
tradeshows
- Other duties as assigned by the General ManagerQualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or technology
related
- 1-3 years of experience in technical sales and/or business
management
- Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective
leads
- Knowledge of flexible packaging materials, film handling
equipment, industrial lasers and laser material processing is a
plus
- Thorough understanding of MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to represent FlexPak in a persuasive and professional
manner
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team focused environment
- Willingness to travel 25% of time
