us!Job Description:Job Summary:The Cybersecurity Engineer position
is a role within the infrastructure and security team that applies
best practices to protect CSI infrastructure, business solutions,
and data across hosted and cloud platforms.The Cybersecurity
Engineer will:
- Perform evaluation, proof-of-concept, implementation,
administration, management, and maintenance of systems, processes,
and tools.
- Assist with incident response, triage, investigation,
communication, and reporting.
- Identifies assets and assesses risks, threats, and
vulnerabilities in accordance with business processes and
regulations to ensure integrity, availability, confidentiality, and
compliance.
- Perform remediation activities on endpoints and servers as
needed for incidents.
- Perform threat hunting and investigations into potential
threats based on log data and escalate as needed within the team or
to management.
- Assist the broader infrastructure team with projects, support,
management, and operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, implement, and manage security solutions and
controls, such as firewalls, vulnerability and patch management,
endpoint security, IDS/IPS, IAM/PAM, and other security
platforms.
- Create and document procedures, processes, and knowledge
articles relating to information security.
- Prioritize, track, and facilitate the remediation of
vulnerability findings.
- Create and manage dashboards and reports that align to key
performance indicators to track progress and validate control
effectiveness
- Work as a team on investigation and escalation of security
incidents.
- Perform log review and event analysis of systems logs including
file Integrity Monitoring, Intrusion Detection System events, and
Antivirus/Malware scan results
- Lead project initiatives for security services and
implementations
- Ensure technical deployments meet security policy, baselines,
and standards
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and technical
improvement, for example, leveraging cloud or automation
technologies to improve efficiency & effectiveness
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using packet capture
and/or proxy tools
- Works independently with general supervision
- Work within the Infrastructure team to deliver on projects,
tasks, and initiatives
- Mentor and support Cybersecurity Analysts & other early-career
technologists
- Assist with disaster recovery and incident response testing and
processes
- Research and test emerging threats
- Engage with the team collaboratively to share knowledge,
solutions, and tips
- Serve as escalation point for advanced troubleshooting and
investigations
- Demonstrate a commitment to CSI core values
- Other job duties as definedQualifications:
- Bachelors/Associates degree in Information Systems, Computer
Science, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 3+ years of experience in Information Security/Cyber
Security
- 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
with top public cloud providers
- Knowledge of network security best practices
- Must have the ability to multi-task and track the status of
multiple projects and issues at once
- Experience with vulnerability and patch management solutions &
processes
- Background in networking (firewalls, switches, network
protocols, VPN)
- Experience with IAM/PAM solutions and technologies including
AD, AAD, Azure, Multi-Factor
- Team focused and self-motivated
- Future looking approach, and aptitude to learn and adopt
evolving technologies
- Additional experience in a combination of the following:
- Cisco and Meraki networking and security solutions
- Experience with M365, Conditional Access, Sentinel, Intune
- Email security standards, to include DMARC, SPF and DKIM
- Cloud Platform Security (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Endpoint Security with EDR capabilities (Cisco AMP, MS
Defender, etc.)
- Microsoft Active Directory (AD)/Azure Active Directory
(AAD)
- Privileged access management, RBAC
- PowerShell and/or Python scripting
- System hardening concepts and techniques
- Security certification (Security+, CCNA Security/Cyber Ops,
Azure-AWS Security, CISSP, etc.)Specifications/Other:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Work is performed on-site in an office environment with
exposure to electrical office equipment.
- Must be able to look at a computer screen for up to 8 hours per
