For each pursuit, you will be an integral part of a proposal development team that includes engineers and subject matter experts to manage proposal efforts and incorporate best practices to develop client-centric, visually appealing, and compliant sales documents. The role is always interesting, as each proposal has its own unique blend of layout design, strategic writing, and solution offerings to meet a wide range of client needs.The Business Development Manager generates new business from both existing customers and new accounts in the commercial space. This includes but is not limited to: developing strategic account plans; building and maintaining strategic relationships; participating in interface activities such as trade shows, conferences, and events to foster relationships; championing the proposal effort; preparing and giving targeted sales presentations, working with Project Managers to ensure client satisfaction; and participating in the Client Satisfaction Program surveys. **Please note that this position will require about 40-50% travel in the US for interfacing with clients, and attending conferences and trade shows.**Anchored by core values like collaboration and integrity, Black & Veatch is one of its kind in the world of engineering.
