The Process Development Engineer will have key responsibility for development and optimization of processes for generation of nanoparticle powders used in electrochemical energy storage applications.Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* Lead process development for fabrication of nanoparticle powders, including web converting, filtration, drying, and annealing.* Execute and coordinate characterization of the nanoparticle powders to assess performance, quality, and process yield.* Execute and/or manage workflows for production of the nanoparticle powder in support of related development projects.* Assessing intellectual property landscape within development area and generate new intellectual property as warranted.* Document development work in periodic formal written reports or other relevant formats.* Perform additional tasks as directed.Basic Qualifications:* Possess a Bachelor's degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution* Minimum of two (2) years' experience in dispersion formulation, dispersion coating, and drying.Preferred Qualifications:* Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution* Minimum five years of experience with nanoparticle processing, including filtration, drying, and annealing.* Minimum five years of experience in web handling and converting.* Minimum one year of experience with proton exchange membrane fuel cells and/or water electrolyzers* Familiarity with relevant characterization techniques, including X-Ray Fluorescence, X-Ray Diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and electrochemical cell test methods including cyclic voltammetry.* Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and within team environments, written technical communication, and ability to work on several parallel projects simultaneously.SDL2017
