The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in the Department of
Medicine at the University of Minnesota is recruiting a full-time
Clinician Scholar at the rank of Assistant Professor and tenure
track who has a strong commitment to a career in research. Interest
in hypertension and cardiovascular disease related to kidney
disease is of special interest. A potential for competitively
securing future research federal funding is desired.
Clinical practice will include outpatient clinics in
state-of-the-art M Health Clinics and Surgery Center, and inpatient
consult service at University of Minnesota Medical Center,
Fairview. Inpatient call is shared with other members of the
Division. The Division is currently comprised 18 full-time
nephrologists, including 3 full-time transplant nephrologists, many
of whom are world-renown clinicians and researchers.
The University of Minnesota Medical School has a strong history of
training and graduating top-quality medical students, residents and
fellows, and this faculty position will be expected to contribute
to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the
Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.
Qualifications
Essential requirements include an M.D. or international equivalent
and board certification (or eligibility based on successful
completion of General Nephrology fellowship program) in
Nephrology.
Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in
the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of
VISA category while in the United States.
