Duties/Responsibilities
The selected candidate will join eight other full-time faculty in
an academic pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition
practice that includes patients with diverse and fascinating
problems. Our program covers the full spectrum of care in pediatric
gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
We have ongoing clinical research projects in cystic fibrosis liver
disease, hepatitis B, chronic pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel
disease. We are one of the largest centers in the country for
pediatric total pancreatectomy, islet auto transplantation.
This position will have clinical responsibilities in pediatric
gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. There is an expectation
to actively participate in the teaching of medical students,
residents, and fellows at the University of Minnesota.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology,
Hepatology and Nutrition.
Competency in procedures commonly performed.
Experience with management of complex inpatients, including liver
transplantation, short gut syndrome and inflammatory bowel
disease.
