Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Draft and issue Group Life, Voluntary Accidental Death & Dismemberment (VADD), Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity insurance policies and certificates through the analysis of a client--------s incumbent policy, plan design, and state-approved policy forms while adhering to internal standards, and compliance guidelines.

Amend Group Life, VADD, Accidental, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity insurance policies and certificates.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Group product policy related questions; advising on policy specific language, provisions, structure, form and state requirements.

Actively collaborate and meet with clients, channel partners and internal stakeholders

Work on team projects; such as process improvements, policy rewrites, transitions to different products and paper, assist with product filing , while assuring a timely, accurate and compliant result.

Qualifications

Ability to read and understand legal form structure and meaning.

Excellent analytical skills with matching drive to action.

Strong writing skills; clear, concise, and in a legal form, to align to team/enterprise standards.

Self-driven, comfortable working with limited direction, strong ability to organize, plan, and manage competing priorities.

Strong collaboration skills needed to fulfill our mission while maintaining a client-centric attitude. This includes active collaboration and coaching within the Contracts Team.

Proactive communication skills, able to effectively translate complex language for others to understand including internal stakeholders as well as in client facing meetings.

Provides creative compliant solutions while independently resolves any issues, questions or areas of ambiguity with peer collaboration as necessary, escalating to Leader as needed.

Actively works to continuously improve processes whenever possible, and to highlight areas of need to partners and/or Leader.

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Onedrive, SharePoint, HotDocs and Adobe, and the ability to learn specialized software

Preferred Qualifications

1 -----" 2 years of Group Life Insurance industry experience (products, standards, forms, filing, et. al.)

Critical thinking and writing experience in Group Life insurance, legal or proposal related field

Experience working with Securian Financial Insurance policies

-- - Physical job requirements:

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week

Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to-- -3-6 hours-- -per day

Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-4 hours per day

Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire workday
