Job Description: **Role Summary/Purpose:** Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our Technical Ops Team will be responsible for designing and delivering dynamic media ad formats, email HTML and optimized landing pages. We are seeking an AVP, Creative Technologist to serve as the hands-on designer and coder of dynamic creative. This role will lead development of dynamic creative assets for digital and social, requiring extensive coding expertise. This position is currently remote, where you'll be work from home, but may be required to work in one of our offices in the future or occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We're proud to offer you flexibility, so candidates will be considered who live near any of Synchrony locations (https://www.synchronycareers.com/about-us#locations) : Alpharetta, GA, Altamonte Springs, FL, Bentonville, AR, Boise, ID, Canton, OH, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Costa Mesa, CA, Draper, UT, Kettering, OH, Marlborough ,MA, Merriam, KS, New York, NY, Phoenix, AZ, San Francisco, CA, St. Paul, MN or Stamford, CT or. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Design through digital, video, animation and motion with an emphasis on strategic storytelling, with the ultimate goal of producing exceptional, impactful creative. + Design and develop (coding) of digital advertising and rich media formats, responsive websites, micro-sites and landing pages. + Exhibit outstanding design skills with a focus on all things digital, such as, user flows, consumer journeys, rapid prototypes, coding feeds, all types of content, APIs and brand campaigns. + Create and manage templated dynamic solutions to streamline high-volume production for large scale projects. + Lead feature implementation and strategy for design systems in our media platform. Collaborate with creators, and production teams to provide direction to digital designers. + Own and elevate design system strategy and implementation with technology + Interface with various back-end technologies, frameworks, platforms and services. + Identify, evaluate and address challenging technical issues and provide technical assistance to other team members on an as-needed basis. + Partner with Art Directors and Writers to create conceptual, interactive, and experiential digital content. + Advocate for establishing and following coding best practices, ensure the team adheres to those best practices, and take the initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions while documenting and maintaining a code repository and reviewing and auditing code for the team. + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, HS Diploma/GED and 7+ years of professional advertising/digital marketing agency experience and/or work within an in-house digital creative group. + A minimum of 4+ years of professional advertising/digital marketing agency experience and/or work within an in-house digital creative group. + A minimum 2+ years' experience and proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding **Desired Characteristics:** + Bachelor's Degree in Digital Design, Interactive Design and Game Development, Motion Media Design, User Experience Design or related field + Experience building mashups, integrating with APIs and XML and JSON feeds + Highly skilled with JavaScript animation libraries such as GreenSock, CreateJs and jQuery + Deep experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch, Framer, Axure, and Invision. + A natural collaborator and mentor who thrives in a group environment, with experience assisting others in design, motion, copy, ux, and video. + Experience and proficiency with OOP as well as writing clean, commented and organized code + Excellent knowledge and familiarity with digital advertising formats and industry landscape + Demonstrated experience with web animation and interactivity + Knowledge of latest Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, InDesign, etc.) + Experience designing responsive websites, micro-sites, and landing pages + Strong storyboarding and prototyping skills + General understanding of web usability and information architecture, including a knowledge of visual wireframes and mock-ups (UX, UI & IA design) + A proven understanding of interactive platforms ranging from web to CRM. + Will be asked for portfolio samples **Eligibility Requirements:** + You must be 18 years or older + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).
