Job Description:

The key responsibilities for this role are more focused on research, applying tax law, and understanding taxability of items. Really is looking for somebody with a tax background, preferably in sales tax.

Responsibilities:

? Review questions regarding tax issues within systems ? research and provide answers

? Review items to be sold by Target and assess taxability; suggest changes as warranted

? Review historical purchase information and assess taxability decisions; suggest changes as warranted

? Assist with miscellaneous research questions as needed

? Help to develop a systematic approach to the item review process

Skill Sets:

? General ability and comfort to work with various systems (SAP, Vertex, home-grown)

? Research experience ? specifically related to sales tax (familiarity with complexities of sales tax)

? Strong communication skills ? ability to ask questions and provide feedback

? Strategic thought process ? ability to handle multiple assignments at once
