Job Description:
Lyngblomsten is a Christian nonprofit organization serving older
adults and their families through healthcare, housing, and
community-based services. Partnered in ministry with more than two
dozen Christian congregations across the Twin Cities of Minneapolis
and St. Paul in Minnesota, Lyngblomsten provides a continuum of
care meets the needs of adults as they travel the later years of
their life's journey. -About: -Lyngblomsten has a full-time (M-F)
exempt opening for Senior Accountant. This position is in person
and is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements for
all Lyngblomsten companies. - This position also reconciles various
general ledger accounts and is responsible for the fixed asset
listings. -QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles.
- Strong proficiency with Excel.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines.
- Accurate and efficient keyboard and calculator skills.
- Ability to build and function in a team environment, as well as
work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality. -PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for all Lyngblomsten
companies.
- Reconcile monthly and prepare annual audit work papers for
assigned general ledger accounts. -
- Maintain fixed asset listings for all Lyngblomsten
companies.
- Answer general ledger related questions from staff and others.
-ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:Add new general ledger
accounts to software systems as necessary.Maintain knowledge of the
budgeting system, and assist with the budgeting process.Assist the
Controller with completing the DHS cost report.Calculate and submit
sales tax payable for Lyngblomsten Services, Lyngblomsten Care
Center and Lyngblomsten Foundation. - This includes maintaining
records to Anna's weekly count sheets. - Maintain knowledge of
current sales tax regulations.Prepare weekly cash flow
